Design WITH Others
One of the most important lessons Jordan has learned through working with design is many people base design on assumptions. Her work with Design With Us and Make Just Right have given her the confidence to speak up and share her input with adults who may have good intentions. Sometimes the adults are willing to listen.
Barbie Fashionista Prosthetic Doll
Jordan had the opportunity to work with the Barbie Fashionista design team. After spending time with the design team, she helped them learn the prosthetic leg needs to be removable. Her perspective helped make sure the doll offers all children a real play experience with a mainstream doll that is a member of the disability community. She had the opportunity to share her design experience to audiences at Concordia Summit and a private Target Headquarters family event.
Brand Partnerships
Keds Kids Ambassadorship
Jordan worked with two other world-changing young women to design the PWR GRL shoe collection for little and big kids. Along with the shoe design, Jordan wrote an article for Ked’s Hand-Book, developed social media content and participated in a live International Day of the Girl virtual event.
LEGO Rebuild the World
Jordan collaborated with LEGO Group to produce a video and social media content as part of organization’s Rebuild the World Campaign. Her video was featured on LEGO’s website and promoted on social media channels.
Museum of Science and Industry
Jordan was a featured maker during MSI Chicago’s Wired to Wear exhibit. She was featured in marketing material in the museum and across the city. Jordan also took part in opening events with the media to raise awareness about the exhibit. Jordan held a public event for kids to learn from her which included a meet and greet at the exhibit. She also held a book signing at the museum later in the year. Project Unicorn is on loan to the museum until 2027.

Authenticity Reads
After writing a book of her own, Jordan tries to make time to offer book authenticity reads in books and scripts. She is committed to seeing real representation in the book and entertainment industries.
